DADU: Twenty more people died apparently from heatstroke in Sehwan where the maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 50 degrees Celsius.

Thousands of devotees have come from across the country to attend three-day Urs celebrations at the Qalandar shrine.

According to Edhi sources, a total of 29 devotees have died from heatstroke while another four drowned in the Indus while having a swim to beat the heat in the past two days. Many unclaimed bodies have been lying at the local Edhi centre. The charity has obtained permission from the district administration for their burial.
