ISLAMABAD: At least 120 suspected militants were killed in North Waziristan tribal region during the 'Zarb-e-Azb' operation.

Earlier, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) quoted to have said that at least 105 militants had been killed on Saturday.

At least 15 more suspected militants were killed in the early hours of Monday in the Mirali tehsil of North Waziristan tribal region where as several compounds were also destroyed, increasing the death toll to 120.

A day ago, the Pakistan Army launched a comprehensive operation against foreign and local terrorists who were hiding in sanctuaries in North Waziristan tribal region, a week after the brazen insurgent attack on the country's busiest airport in Karachi.

“The operation had been named Zarb-e-Azb,” said an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement on Sunday.

“Using North Waziristan as a base, these terrorists had waged a war against the state of Pakistan and had been disrupting our national life in all its dimensions, stunting our economic growth and causing enormous loss of life and property.”

“They had also paralysed life within the agency and had perpetually terrorised the entire peace loving and patriotic local population,” the statement quoted DG ISPR Maj Gen Asim Bajwa as saying.

He said, “Our valiant armed forces have been tasked to eliminate these terrorists regardless of hue and color, along with their sanctuaries.”

“With the support of the entire nation, and in coordination with other state institutions and Law Enforcement Agencies, these enemies of the state will be denied space anywhere across the country.”

“As always, armed forces of Pakistan will not hesitate in rendering any sacrifice for the motherland,” it added.

The all important announcement came after overnight air strikes by Pakistani jets that killed more than 50 foreign militants, mostly Uzbeks, in North Waziristan.

Strikes took place in the Boya tehsil, Degan forests and Datta Khel tehsil of North Waziristan.

After the announcement of the full-scale operation in the North Waziristan area, a security official on ground said that thousands of troops have been moved for action, AFP reported.

“Thousands of troops will participate in this action. You can roughly say 25,000 to 30,000 troops will be involved in the operation,” the official said on the condition of anonymity because he was not allowed to speak to media.

Local security officials put the death toll far higher, saying that about 150 militants died in the air strikes, which primarily targeted Uzbek militants in a remote area of the tribal agency.

Among the dead were insurgents linked to last Monday's all-night siege of Karachi airport that killed 38 people, including 10 attackers, and all but destroyed a tentative peace process between the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the government.

Pressure had been mounting on the government to launch a ground offensive in the Taliban-infested North Waziristan tribal district.

Following the brazen assault in Karachi, the US carried out two drone strikes in North Waziristan on Wednesday, the first time the controversial programme has been used this year.

The same day, air force jets pounded suspected militant hideouts, leaving at least 25 dead.

It may be mentioned that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan had warned the government against launching a major military offensive against the militants in North Waziristan saying it would prove ‘suicidal’.

Terrorist bases in N Waziristan cordoned off: Army

North Waziristan Agency has been isolated by deploying troops along its border with neighbouring agencies and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) to block any movement of terrorists in and out of the Agency, said an ISPR statement issued on Sunday night.

“Within the Agency, troops have moved and cordoned off all terrorists bases, including in the town of Mirali and Miranshah.”

Briefing the media regarding “precise and targeted air strikes overnight,” it said that eight terrorist hideouts were destroyed in North Waziristan killing 105 terrorists, most of them Uzbek foreigners.

“Announcements will be made for local population to approach designated areas for their orderly and dignified evacuation out of the Agency,” said the ISPR statement.

Necessary Logistics and administrative arrangements for Internally Displaced People (IDPs) have been made by Political Administration and Disaster Management Agency, it said.

“Registration points and IDP camps have been made, as being announced by Civil Administration. Surrender points have also been made for those militants who chose to quit violence and give up their arms.”

Meanwhile, aerial surveillance of the area is being carried out by own aerial surveillance platforms, it added.

The Pakistan Army also said that Afghan security forces including Afghan National Army and Afghan Border Police have also been requested to seal the border on their side to facilitate elimination of terrorists who attempt to escape across the border.

They have also been requested to initiate immediate measures to eliminate Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists and their sanctuaries in Kunar, Nuristan and other areas of Afghanistan.

A red line was crossed by these murderers many years ago when they started attacking the state and killing the innocents. Let the army make sure that they will NEVER even come close to that line again, EVER. The army should do what whatever is necessary to take them out once and for all. Take it as NOW or NEVER.

Abbas Jun 15, 2014 08:04pm

Excellent step taken by Pak Army in doing the operation in NW. May Allah help the army to eliminate these murderers and people who want to hurt Pakistan and it's people.

Love and lots of Dua for Pakistan.

Look for the spies of neighboring countries as well and destroy them. That will make a bigger difference.

Sagheer Kamran Jun 15, 2014 08:11pm

Will our dear PM take onus or the blame game is to follow. Am sure it won't be another Kargil in the offing and will accept it. He should know that no army can win any war without the support of nation.

Our thought and prayers are with the army. This should have happened during the tenure of PPP.In addition Pakistan should take up this in very strong terms with our neighbors and the USA

@Fahd Siddiqui Good point...Patriotic programs are however only on aired on PTV or to some extent on Dunya news.

Hazar Dastan Khan Jun 15, 2014 08:17pm

War is an act of politics. If this act is being committed against stateless and nameless people then one can imagine the end result. At the end there will be no one to negotiate with. I am sure this must have been discussed during the brainstorming session if there was one. All I can say is good luck since the probability of getting any results is very slim.

Hammad Jun 15, 2014 08:18pm

Syed Jun 15, 2014 08:18pm

The "sanctuaries" of these rebels are not confined to Waziristan. Each and every single madrassah in Pakistan, serves as a sanctuary for these rebels. If this operation is to be made successful, the battle will have to be fought on more than one fronts. The Pakistan Army must make sure that these rebels are not only defeated, but are eliminated.

Najma Jun 15, 2014 08:19pm

Is there any plan to handle the displaced population? How about the health facilities to handle the innocent victims of injuries. What about the long term social cost of this act of "cleaning"?

As in the past, this attack on TTP will not last long. Govt will soon withdraw and make more attempts for peace. But I hope the military goes all the way and clean Pakistan of all religious extremist groups; otherwise, they will destroy education and progress in the country. May Allah bless anyone who is against any form of religious extremists and any group that wants to wage war against Pakistan and other nations.

@Hussain You are wrong. Why would our army kill innocent people. By mistake or collateral , may be, But Inshallah they will be safe. God will save them. We will save them our army will save them, Don't talk nonsense that this is US decision.

Irshad khan Jun 15, 2014 08:52pm

Prime Minister, President and other Political Leaders should visit the Armed Forces on the front line Instead of going on foreign tours or hiding in their palaces. Every Pakistani has to fight along with their Armed Forces to win this war.

daniel shiger Jun 15, 2014 08:52pm

No mercy for the people who know no mercy while killing innocent. and Uzebekistan government and others from where these terrorists are coming should also be approached in a harsh manner to stop sending their people. You need to find out who is funding them, who is giving them arms, to eliminate the real enemy is a challenge but not impossible. You will have the full backing of whole of Pakistan behind you if you do the right thing. Salute to the Army of Pakistan. This is the country I love the most. I wish I were born in your country and I want to see this country once again on the right track as I saw it in early 60s.

@mansoor Karachi operation was going well when Shahid Hayat was removed. Did you see TTP's statement? We have taken revenge of our friends killed by police in encounters. Sind govt needs to immediately crack down known hideouts of terrorists time and again shown by various TV channels. Similarly KPK govt needs to plug in the routes as their entire police is on VIP duties.

M ILYAS Jun 15, 2014 08:57pm

While my entire support is for Pak Army and prayers for their complete success. However, the job seems not as easy it looks. The biggest problem is that they are hidden enemies and probably not easily visible. Russians and Americans have been fighting for years and end result is known to us. Do we think that their armies were lesser resourceful than ours? Despite having par-excellent infrastructure, the Americans, British, French, German and so many others have finally left the Afghans behind to handle them. The same thought and creatures are fighting in our country. Let us hope and pray for the best!

Patriot Jun 15, 2014 08:57pm

We are with you Pak Army, God bless you

Rational Jun 15, 2014 08:58pm

@Imran Khan.

All the year back excluding the last decade or so, we used to here that our western borders are safe and we don't need to deploy our forces for its protection. Now all of a sudden, its been tactfully promoted that sanctuaries harboring terrorism exist in our tribal belt, they are butchering our countrymen, they are the fundamentalists. One must ask few relevant questions that are they are the same people who have been protecting us since our creation? what prompted our brothers in the tribal belt to take arms against their own people? Have anyone from our top brass both from the Army and the Government sympathized with our bothers when drones used to wipe out their whole family on the grounds that they reside in the tribal belt. We must all put our thoughts to these focal questions. An Army operation is not the solution when you are addressing the symptoms rather than the causes. May Allah bless us brothers in the NWA and protect our country from the fatal consequences that might unfold due to the announced operation.

While the military offensive against the terrorists is very much appreciated, it is important that the federal and provincial governments, at the same time, launch effective economic and social programs, for the welfare of the common people.

It must be noted that many of the foreign fighters were assembled in Pakistan, many years ago, with the cooperation of the outside major powers.

It is essential, however, that Pakistanis work hard themselves and stop depending on outside financial help.

The Taliban are motivated, inspired and trained for fighting. The suicide bomber's intensity of purpose can be gauged by his mission to blow himself up.Those who fight and run away will live to fight another day,and so the violence will spiral on.The clerics clamoring for a theocracy have a powerful and extensive media via the mosques and seminaries. The Army's sacrifice will go in vain and Pakistan will revert to terrorism and sectarian violence if the clerics are not curtailed.

Strike against these people . They are the murdered of thousands of innocent Muslims. I pray may ALLAH bless and grant victory to Pakistani Army (Amen)

Hornet Jun 15, 2014 09:38pm

Pakistan Army loves to fight and loves to win. We already are battle hardened and will kick on the backs of these insurgents and terrorists. May Allah help you, my gallant soldiers and officers. The whole nation is with you.

Nasr u MinAllah hi Wal Fathun Qareeb ... Plz get rid of the animals once and for all

Aaqib Jun 15, 2014 09:40pm

A crucial decision by Armed forces let's crush these terrorists. We stand united with you !

ABDUL KARIM Jun 15, 2014 09:40pm

Better late than never ! And don't stop until you've finished the job, the nation stands behind you.

Muhib Jun 15, 2014 09:40pm

Imagine an Army launching operation within its own country...

Raheel Khan Jun 15, 2014 09:40pm

We create terrorist and later celebrate killing them

independentthinker Jun 15, 2014 09:41pm

Launching a military operation is great - the question is - Will they stay the course? If the answer is yes, Pakistanis can breath a sigh of relief, because the end appears near - to fear, to destruction, to extremism and to intimidation! Once we eliminate these bullies, we can go back to the path of progress! Am I dreaming or will it be a fact - I guess time will tell!

Latif Jun 15, 2014 09:42pm

All the best for Pak Army, Clear them all, as they never existed.....Now or never. One suggestion, go after them, even they go to Afghanistan, get Molvi Fazalullah too.

Seemab Jun 15, 2014 09:43pm

Good Luck Pakistan Army... Eliminate all these terrorist !! The whole nation supports you. P.S, All Political and Religious parties must issue statements againts millitants, and in favor of Army !!

A Jun 15, 2014 09:45pm

Whole nation is with Pakistan army. We salute you. Please crush these beasts once and for all.

abid Jun 15, 2014 09:46pm

Good decision taken by gov..

Pakistani Jun 15, 2014 09:47pm

Great move. Whole nation is behind Pak Army.

Hussain Jun 15, 2014 09:48pm

Imran khan is a crazy man! Lock him and throw the keys away...

Sayyar Khan Jun 15, 2014 09:49pm

Army Op is needed in South Punjab also.

aisha Jun 15, 2014 09:50pm

The entire nation supports this. The US, India and all countries are behind Pakistan. A non stable Pakistan is bad for the entire world. Thoughts and prayers with the Pakistani people, the forces and the government.

SABIR Jun 15, 2014 09:51pm

But TTP and Allies (Lashkare-eJhangvi and SSP) should not take revenge of this war by killing innocent and weak communities in Quetta and other parts of Pakistan.

FAIR Jun 15, 2014 09:51pm

Congrats to Nawaz Sherif and the new COAS. At last Pakistan regained the self respect surrendered by Corrupt anti social PPP government and Kayani. Well done Sheriff Saab!

Faraz Jun 15, 2014 09:53pm

Keeping in mind the internal situation of the country, operating on Uzbek militants might not be such a good idea after all. The army should operate upon enemies who are eating the nation from within rather than operating on Uzbek militants. We might end up making some new enemies. It is also said that warnings were already sent before the airport attack. If that is true, then its a clear matter of carelessness. The responsible people should be tried in fast track courts.

SachBol Jun 15, 2014 09:55pm

Wipe off these terrorists, Pakistan's integrity is more important then these outfits. But do remember, Pakistan's own establishment created these monsters to have influence in Afghanistan and Kashmir. This is why it's so important to have Pakistan run by civilian setup which has more foresight then military or establishment disposition. May Pakistan remain blessed and Pakistan Paindabad!

Syeda Ali Jun 15, 2014 09:56pm

They should have done that ages before. Well its never too late. Hopefully they really aim to eliminate them all together this time

Salman Jun 15, 2014 10:00pm

The whole nation is with Pakistan Army at this challenging hour. Go go terrorism. Go go militancy. We want to see our country growing and this is only possible if we have peace and stability. Pakistan Zindabad

Ahmed Baloch Jun 15, 2014 10:00pm

This operation could've been avoided and if we had made friends with Taliban, it would've been in our great favor.

But now that the operation has started, Inshallah our great Pak Army will crush these terrorists once and for all, and there is no doubt that these terrorists will be finished and Pak Army WILL stand victorious. Those who actually have negative thoughts about Pak Army are just as bad as Taliban, and they don't diverse to be a Pakistani.

Why do people think Imran Khan is against this operation. He is not pro-Taliban, he is pro-Pakistan and anti- war. All he suggested was to carry the operation as peacefully as possible and the Noora Lions made all sorts of propaganda against him. LOVE OUR ARMY, LOVE PAKISTAN AND LOVE IMRAN KAHN

Azmat Khan Jun 15, 2014 10:01pm

Welcome our great military. We are with you.Crush these coward beasts. They want to snatch lives of us all.

TA MD Jun 15, 2014 10:06pm

Pakistan Zindabad, squish and eradicate these worthless creatures. Pakistan Army Zindabad!

abbas Jun 15, 2014 10:09pm

mms(usa) Jun 15, 2014 10:09pm

Inran Khan is a collaborator of the Taliban and should be arrested for his treason. Secondly, I hope the army has the determination to complete the task. Third, if you want this to really succeed no surrender option must be given to the militanrs. Clean it up once and for all. They are like mold, give it a little water and the mold will grow buck. If any are arrested they should be depoted to Saudi Arabia who is the cause of all there problems.

Javed Rahman Jun 15, 2014 10:15pm

Pak army the pakistanis in Canada supports you , please destroy these monsters so we can come back to our motherland and live in peace.

Syed Ali Jun 15, 2014 10:15pm

WHEN there will be similar in IOK to crush the financiers of this TTP...? Are they afriad. Why they not have done this until now?

TA MD Jun 15, 2014 10:16pm

Pakistan Zindabad! Squish these worthless creatures and wash their carcasses from the face of this earth. Zindabad Pakistan's Army!

Mirza Jun 15, 2014 10:20pm

Pakistan Zindabad We will teach them a lesson they will remember

mus Jun 15, 2014 10:20pm

How sad......takes loss of innocent lives before army takes action. How did the Uzbeks get to setup sanctuaries in our country? Why can't we be proactive vs reactive?

Iqbal Jun 15, 2014 10:23pm

AllahoAkbar! God bless Pakistan Army. United we stand behind them.

Aziz Jun 15, 2014 10:23pm

Please keep going at it. Don't attack them for a few days just to show that you are doing something and then pull back. Eradicate them. We are with you.

shahzad Jun 15, 2014 10:25pm

start operation in cities and towns as well for cleansing the extremist forces and hate clergy and mullahs. don't lose this chance .get rid of all who preach hatred and radical ideas.

@expat Jun 15, 2014 10:29pm

Take care of innocent civilian women, children and old men.Punjabi Taliban and their safe havens and madrassas in central and southern Punjab preaching and spreading extremism are the next legitimate target.

Hakin Jun 15, 2014 10:36pm

Finally our Military leaders woke up or they must have scared of a revolt against them

We salute and support our Jyalay and the bravest soldiers. We all must pray for their safety and success. However, our leadership can not be trusted ever again because of their personal agendas we have lost thousand of innocent citizens and our people in uniform. They can change their policies again if they get another billion from their masters.

This attack should not be stopped until we clean our infested country with these Talibans rats and their supporters. Our Army must take over country and make that crook like Sharif brother and Zardari never come to the power. Also politician like Imran Khan and Jamat must be put in jail for their open support for these Evil Talibans.

LONG LIVE OUR FORCES & PAKISTAN. WE SUPPORT THEM WITH OUR DUAS & OUR BLOOD! May ALLAH protect them and bless them with a success. (Ameen)

bravo Jun 15, 2014 10:36pm

Once decided... lets see this through... we as the entire nation will fight these brain_dead zombies aka taliban and their supporters.

wasim Jun 15, 2014 10:40pm

@Ek Brit well done pk army

Roxana R Jun 15, 2014 10:40pm

@Syed I agree with your statement. Madrasahs and mullahs preaching violence, etc., need to be shut down immediately, and that is something local people can do to help this situation. Cut off the rhetoric, cut off the funding (burn poppy fields for one), cut off supply lines, report known militant locations to the Army, be prepared to step up and defend your own country.

nasir Jun 15, 2014 10:43pm

May Allah bless my country. I am not in the favor of this operation for many reasons: -Afghanistan border is not secure, Indian raw and israeli intelligence playing dirty games and training terrorist, these terrorist will go and hide in Afghanistan. These idiots can be the assets of raw. - These trained terrorist are living in our cities and that is the most dangerous aspect. - The only political solution is possible, if USA make sure that India leave Afghanistan immediately. My biggest worry is, how we are going to clean up our cities with corrupt police. If this operation launched in 2004 would have different results. May Allah bless my country.

wasim Jun 15, 2014 10:44pm

pak army has decided well.

Asma Jun 15, 2014 10:44pm

what about lashkare jhangvi and Sepahe sahaba??the off shoots of taliban ...

Ahmed Jun 15, 2014 10:50pm

We are with you Pak Army, hit them hard, once and for all. May God be with you!

Shash Jun 15, 2014 10:51pm

I cannot just resist myself from writing. Pak should eliminate its chronic problem once for all. Let people live peacefully

fonzarelli Jun 15, 2014 10:51pm

@Against Pakistan - Let me kindly rephrase that sentence for you:

"Muslims need to be educated. They should not kill non muslims and other minor communitys' people."

"Extremists need to be educated. They should not kill non muslims and other minor communitys' people"

Maybe the need to promote education should start at home?

Pardeep Kumar Jun 15, 2014 10:52pm

Clean it for good. Not only North Wazirstan but rest of Pakistan too.

Shakeel Ahmad Khan Jun 15, 2014 10:53pm

@Hussain : My countrymen are dying because of those so called champions of religion not the US. This cancer needs to be delt with and crushed once and for all. Its wishful thinking but anyone supporting the terrorists should also be punished but that would be asking too much!

saleem Jun 15, 2014 10:54pm

A bad decision 25 years ago by the detector to support mujahden , got aids from the world and staying power for longtime, we are paying its price today.

Shakeel Ahmad Khan Jun 15, 2014 10:55pm

This decision alone has won my next vote for PML-N!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Khan Jun 15, 2014 10:55pm

I wish all the success to the Pak Army. But at the same time we need to revamp the other law enforcement agencies as well - that includes the police. No city in Pakistan is free nor safe from militants. We need to see comprehensive strategies to tackle militant hideouts in the cities as well (that includes increased intelligence sharing between army and civilian authorities).

Afzal Jun 15, 2014 10:57pm

@Hussain why should we put IK in jail? Because he anti war. Ppl can have different views you know. Its not a crime

Rashid Jun 15, 2014 11:04pm

@Saad Zafar : if the PM addresses the nation and you will be "on-board" and what if you disagree, what will you do? what non-sense! Thousands of blasts and dead bodies weren't enough to bring you "on-board"...

ali-uk Jun 15, 2014 11:05pm

It is also very important to launch a similar attack on the militants living in karachi because from what i have heard there are currently taliban operating in karachi

saleem Jun 15, 2014 11:05pm

In parallel, focused efforts are required to clean-up the brainwashing done to the people; may take a long time to win this one

Khan Jun 15, 2014 11:07pm

.................... We owe this operation to our 7,000 shaheed soldiers.

Karachiite Jun 15, 2014 11:09pm

Thank God. Sanity prevails and the operation is launched. Better late than never I guess.

tab Jun 15, 2014 11:09pm

@redrock as always the innocent will be taken care of as collateral damage!

slaam Jun 15, 2014 11:10pm

Raj Jun 15, 2014 11:10pm

Good Job, Pakistan!!

nawaz Jun 15, 2014 11:14pm

very good decision we mhave taken after long time. Just finish these murderers one for all otherwise we must see what is happening in Iraq. same we can expect here if we do not kill this mindset forever. It is good action Government and army have taken after many years.

Ahmed Jun 15, 2014 11:15pm

Fully support PM's decision and our armed forces. Pakistan Zindabad! Crush these murderers!

Raza Jun 15, 2014 11:17pm

God bless Pakistan! I had been hoping for this operation of elimination of these pests for a long time. Our valiant forces have the capability to do that but political bickering and mullah influences kept them in check for a long time. The truth is now out that these criminals will stay criminals, talks or no talks. The only remedy is an action like the one taken now. May God be with you - all the security forces and the military. Do look out for innocents as you go about your difficult task.

Aamir Jun 15, 2014 11:17pm

Pakistan Army Zindabad

Sultan Alvi, Canada Jun 15, 2014 11:22pm

This is a clever tactical move by the besieged Nawaz government to save itself from Dr. Tahirul Qadri and Imran Khan, at least in the short run.

All the best to Pak army for the operation in NWA. May God be with you.

Nasir Aziz Jun 15, 2014 11:26pm

@Hussain Really, you know? Or is that your guess? Also it appears that you are not so informed on the evacuations or anything else. No matter where the decision is made, it's still the RIGHT decision.

Imran Jun 15, 2014 11:32pm

@Shakeel Ahmad Khan .Easy sir jee, it's not the PML-N's decision. It is GHQ's decision.

Mohammad Khan Jun 15, 2014 11:36pm

Don't compare North Waziristan to Swat, Army never cleared the areas in South Waziristan where terrain is much easier as compare to North Waziristan. If anyone argues that army cleared South Waziristan then why is no media allowed in South Waziristan Mehsud tribe areas which the army claims they have cleared, more correct statement would be areas were cleared of civilians (IDP's). Nothing will come out of this operation except more problems for Pakistan. Americans pressured Pakistani Generals to go into N Waziristan other wise they were going to block aid money but Americans will leave soon they don't care and Pakistan will be stuck with this for a very long time. If anyone thinks for a second that this operation will make things any better for Pakistan that will be a big mistake.

Hafeez Jun 15, 2014 11:38pm

this is very bad for pakistani people.i am against of this operation. indians and other countries want to destroy us.the leaders don't know how many precious life will be wasted in this operation.i love pak Army and i don't want to lose any of my pak soldier.every one pray for pakistan. pakistan zindabad

Nasir Aziz Jun 15, 2014 11:44pm

@Muhib Yes, Like India, Ukraine, Russia, China, US Civil war - all armies conducting operations in their own countries. So what's your point?

zobia khan Jun 15, 2014 11:49pm

This time there should be no ceasefire. We cannot afford to do this again and again.

Sunil Jun 15, 2014 11:53pm

@Imran Khan

May god give your pakistan army enough strength to win this battle.

zobia khan Jun 15, 2014 11:58pm

@Ahmer Thats what Imran Khan wants you to think. It will be short, most of these cowards have already ran across the border into afghanistan and some as far as uzbekistan.

What are Uzbeks doing in Pakistan?

Uncle Sam Jun 16, 2014 12:03am

A little message to the relatives of all the soldiers taking part in this.

I write this with genuine intentions, some of you will not see your sons return (Though I pray that I am wrong). Please remember, that these men are out there to achieve the highest honor there is, and that you should be honored that they are a part of who you are. I salute them, and all of you, what they are doing is beyond what any words I can try to put together. It will be tough, but do not shed tears of pain for them, only tears of joy, because there are very few in this world who are given responsibilities so large. They are indeed chosen for the greatest rewards. May God bless them all and all of you, and once we overcome this struggle, may we forget our races and unite as humans, it is the highest honor we can pay to the sacrifice that these men are about to make.

muhammad ashraf Jun 16, 2014 12:10am

A very good decision.Always remember the martyredom of about fifty thousand innocent people including SP Chaudhry Aslam and many more.we pray for our armed forces success.Aamin

Shaad Jun 16, 2014 12:11am

I wish those terrorists were killed sooner. Go Pak army!

Aslam Jun 16, 2014 12:12am

I am afraid many innocent people will also die by the hundreds

Khalid Jun 16, 2014 12:21am

PAK ARMY "ZINDABAD" Our prayer's and best wishes are with you "Brave fearless Jawans" defenders of of motherland! Erradicate our country of these 'terrorists"

aamir Jun 16, 2014 12:26am

another operation based on another lie. No investigation of Karachi airport terrible incident as there was no investigation of Swat girl lashing incident before swat operation. It is nothing but on the will of Mr. USA. Keep doing and keep telling lies. Any story is lie until it has evidence.

Youth Jun 16, 2014 12:32am

Best news of the day, They deserve this action. These are enemy of Islam & humanity. Killers of innocent, destroyer of properties, finish them. The entire nation is behind our beloved armed forces.

Karim Jun 16, 2014 12:33am

We the nation of Pakistan have raised the sword of our Prophet (PBUH) with operation " Zarb-e-Azb". These militants in N. Waziristan and other places have caused shedding of innocent blood and destruction of resources and national assets for decades. Islam calls upon us to fight oppression, injustice, bloodshed of innocent, terror, and against people who spread mischief and crisis in the world. All Pakistani nation supports our troops who are the true soldiers of Islam standing up against these oppressors and criminals. May Allah be with our beloved troops and make them victorious against these forces of evil. WE, THE PAKISTANI NATION STAND WITH OUR TROOPS.

Believer Jun 16, 2014 12:38am
  1. Let those (believers) who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter fight in the Cause of Allah, and whoso fights in the Cause of Allah, and is killed or gets victory, We shall bestow on him a great reward.

  2. And what is wrong with you that you fight not in the Cause of Allah, and for those weak, ill-treated and oppressed among men, women, and children, whose cry is: "Our Lord! Rescue us from this town whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from You one who will protect, and raise for us from You one who will help."

  3. Those who believe, fight in the Cause of Allah, and those who disbelieve, fight in the cause of Taghut (Satan, etc.). So fight you against the friends of Shaitan (Satan); Ever feeble indeed is the plot of Shaitan (Satan).

Al-Quran Sura An-Nisa

We fully support Army to fight the friends of Satan (Talban)

xPakistani Jun 16, 2014 12:43am

How ignorant - this is nothing to with Islam - these are terrorists, disrupting the existence, security, peace and lives of common innocent peaceful citizen. Attack at the Karachi airport was the height of barbarism. It is not Muslims against Muslims; these lunatics are killing innocent people is this Islamic and/or Muslim. You think state should not take action because this is against Islam and those terrorist are Muslim, then there serious misunderstanding of Islam. These terrorists need to be total eliminated regardless whatever it takes

Osama Khan Jun 16, 2014 12:46am

Kill them all.

Talat H Jun 16, 2014 12:54am

hope at last

Anwer Jun 16, 2014 12:58am

I hope the Army gets to finish the job once and for all this time around. They ought to wipe out all the Talibs living in North Waziristan & then move to other strategic Taliban targets even if it may mean collaborating with the US in order to wipe out the common enemy. Unfortunately this operation will result in collateral damage with loss of innocent lives.......

Usman Azeem Jun 16, 2014 01:09am

We have long been excruciated by this persistent pain. I really admire how the government has taken the stand despite the party differences, some of them even stating this operation as suicidal. I think this decision is in our nation's best interest. May Allah be with us! Allah-o-Akbar!

Ram Jun 16, 2014 01:19am

so you can shouts of allah ho akbar from both ends

kashif Jun 16, 2014 01:25am

Pakistan Army - Sole organisation in country which maintains discipline and has the ability to defend the country and protect its interest.

Men at their best!

A concerned Pakistani Jun 16, 2014 01:33am

@Mohammad Khan Patience has its limits. There comes a time when action is needed. No government can tolerate another government within its border trying to play the shots.

I'm an Indian....distressed to see the recent happenings in prayers are with Pak government and army .....I'm sure state will always win and the culprits will be brought to justice...keep up the good work

Chaudry Bilal Jun 16, 2014 01:58am

Way To Go Pakistan Army - Crush these militants. They should go back to their countries where they belong. Trouble makers should be dealt with strict action.

Sajid Ansari Jun 16, 2014 01:58am

This was way over due. There is nothing more important for a country's government than providing security to its citizens and Pakistan for more than a decade has failed to do this. I hope and pray that this operation succeeds in exterminating these evil enemies of state.

Aamir Nawaid Jun 16, 2014 02:17am

Guys don't forget the Lal Masjid Burqa Maulana. Finish the unfinished business.

TooTrue Jun 16, 2014 02:56am

Why such a funky Arabic sounding name for the operation? Operation Freedom and Hope.

Ahmed Jun 16, 2014 02:57am

Nawaz Sharif needs to address the nation and the national assembly about the operation. He needs to tell his people to support the Pakistan army and acknowledge that the people they are fighting are the enemies of Pakistan. We need the support of the whole nation by politically backing the military operation.

Nemah Jun 16, 2014 02:57am

It makes my heart bleed that the federal government had to take such an extreme decision. But it is the need of the hour! May Allah protect lives of all innocent people. Ameen. People please forget your sheepish Nawaz vs. IK vs. TUQ arguments, this will be a period of great trial and instead of highlighting and exaggerating differences between us the nation must stand united and trust the government and army on this one. And PRAY for the best for Pakistan. Also, since the terrorists are expected to backlash, stay safe and try to avoid potential places that they may strike like malls etc. Pakistan Zindabad!

Umer Hamid Enam Jun 16, 2014 03:07am

Kill or you will be killed. PAKISTAN ZINDABAD.

Akhtar Jun 16, 2014 03:09am

This time the Pakistan army should crush these foreign sponsored terrorists. Show them no mercy.

Umer Hamid Enam Jun 16, 2014 03:11am

@Saad Zafar he was just forecasting the eye for an eye condition, but if the government had announced that it's war time..... Well they must had brainstormed it in parliament or publically. IK is our leader and he had alway done good for Pakistan.

raj Jun 16, 2014 03:11am

Imran khan and PTI supporters should declare whose side are they on, as they are only worried about themselves rather that innocent millions of Pakistanis.

Shamoon Ahmad Jun 16, 2014 03:59am

@Hussain What a brilliant analyses, you must have seen it on Geo.

Syed Jun 16, 2014 04:00am

Salute to pak army. Attack! Attack! Attack!

Shamoon Ahmad Jun 16, 2014 04:06am

@Hazar Dastan Khan No... actually this action is against the enemy of state.

ahmed mustafa Jun 16, 2014 04:15am

i always find difficult how they can find the nationality of these terrorist, do they carry passport or some other identification? if so , a nation of 180million needs better survellience, safety/security apparatus, etc. anti-state elements live and thrive in all nations and countries of the world, but they place a system where rule of law thirves. Pakistan state has to develop that infrastructure. I wish success in N. Waziristan, but the terrorist have assimilated well within Pakistan society, you kill them there, they will sprout somewhere else. such operation cannot last for years and will result in all out civil war. still not discunting this operation, it is a must, however, a policy shift is needed and state borders/immigration/exit/entry must be better and unified central authority to handle in/out of the country. and many more. i wish safety for all Pakistanis

Shamoon Ahmad Jun 16, 2014 04:15am

@Rational Nobody questions the loyalty of people from NWA. But they are being terrorized by foreign militants. It is hard time for the people but in the long run this will bring peace and prosperity. May Allah help all of us.

fwad Jun 16, 2014 04:16am

Taliban are people who can only understand the language of violence and destruction cannot be counselled by words. Taliban are enemies and hence they will be rooted out completely...Insha' Allah

Shamoon Ahmad Jun 16, 2014 04:23am

@Babu Khan My dear Babu, 180 million Pakistani against few thousand terrorist, you can imagine who is going to loose. It may take long but we will win.

Mike Jun 16, 2014 04:25am

Where there is will there is way, Pakistani Govt and Military were waiting for years and years, left these wild animals to survive so long thought they were use for their benefits but they lacking the common sense that wild animals are wild they will eat the feeding hands when they grow bigger. I appreciate that at-last the common sense prevailed after so many innocent lives sacrificed. And I hope and pray that in future Pakistan want to live peacefully and they understand a life of a human whether it is of muslim or christian or hindu, and whether if it is Pakistani or Indian or Afghanistani, is a life and it is important than everything else.

All religion and rules are made for human, humans are not made for religion.

Shamoon Ahmad Jun 16, 2014 04:26am

@Muhib Yes... against the enemy within the country.

Sophie Jun 16, 2014 04:31am

Is the root of the problem there or in foreign lands? I don't know whether this problem has a military solution. Unless you invade the foreign interests sponsoring these attacks. The folks in Waziristan responsible for this are surely supported by people from elsewhere.

zobia khan Jun 16, 2014 04:32am

@Sultan Alvi, Canada - So what should we do? just bury our dead in Karachi and clap our hands?

Shamoon Ahmad Jun 16, 2014 04:50am

You said it yourself, it is a step in right direction. Nation of 180 million (if stayed united) will surely win.

Raja Jun 16, 2014 04:58am

Excellent. I love my Army. It makes me proud of them. The Best Armed Forces in the World.

Shamoon Ahmad Jun 16, 2014 05:02am

@Irshad khan Prime Minister, President and other Political Leaders should visit the Armed Forces. Don't expect this from politicians. This you expect from leaders who have the courage to lead. These guys will come out of the shadow to side with the winner and blame the losers, until than they will hide their faces. Nawaz sahrif is not Ayub Khan.

Shamoon Ahmad Jun 16, 2014 05:09am

@Sayyar Khan

yasir janwari Jun 16, 2014 06:15am

we are with you pak army if need be we will participate in operation against taliban

Sheikh Parviz Jun 16, 2014 06:18am

All our prayers to our brave Pakistani soldiers, their families and the sacrifice they have given in the past and future to protect and save Pakistan. I wish Pakistan can take over the FATA areas and no mans land between Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan and establish governance and rule of law their respectively. Each Pakistani will raise to this occasion and we will succeed and never give up.The Taliban are anti-state and pro-Taliban elements are cancer to our way of life and society and a menance to the world. In Islamic history when the Prophet peace be upon him passed away, the muslim forces fought against all elements who wanted to break against one state system of freedom and justice for all.

Mubashir Jun 16, 2014 06:20am

Now wait for bleeding hearts who will conveniently forget about Taliban attacks and now accuse Pak Army of acting on "Foreigh Agenda".

Just wait and watch the clerics on TV Talk Shows.

We know our people !!

Let's claim or country back. Let's claim our freedom from these terrorists. Pakistan Zindabad. Pakistan Army Zindabad.

vik3ings Jun 16, 2014 08:17am

Great step forward Pakistani armed forces. Drive them out of Pakistan and create a govt. presence in Waziristan..This should not be a short term visit, as some have suggested

Talat Masood, a retired general and security analyst, said the army would aim to end its operation before the Islamic holy month of Ramadan which begins around June 28.

"It should go only for two three weeks and then troops can be stationed in the area to control the situation and consolidate the positions," he said.

The operation's success, he added, was contingent on sealing the porous Pakistan-Afghanistan border which foreign fighters including Chechens, Uzbeks, Turkmen, Tajiks and Uighurs have crossed in recent weeks.

Khalid Jun 16, 2014 08:21am

It's a much awaited step this Army has finally take. This is the moment we all need to speak with one voice and support the. Get your political differences aside. You will have ample time afterwards to bicker among yourselves. Long live Pakistan. Our Quaid's nation...Our nation...

Asad Jun 16, 2014 08:23am

This is a temporary fix. Need to go after the HAND THAT ROCK' S THE CRADLE.

Mushman Jun 16, 2014 08:35am

@abdulaziz: 1. If your prediction comes true, govt will stop short but military will march on. Then, it follows that military will out perform the govt and continue rule by generals -- a standard Pakistan reality. Democracy and the rule of law anyone? 2. Stop praying and start raising funds and food for the casualties of this "war". You are all going to need hospitals, bio-mecahnics, food, shelter, schools, rule of law, and government services and transport. 3. Be prepared for reprisals because a defeated and humilitaed Muslim is NOT going to surrender and shake hands and say: 'That was the past and let's build anew together'! There will be new jihads!

Mickey Jun 16, 2014 08:42am

How are these numbers always round - 15, 20, 50 etc ?

How are they even verified before being reported ?

Why not 14, 21, 49 ?

Tom Jun 16, 2014 08:50am

As long as there are no "boots on the ground" , you can bet that this is just for show...they are not serious.

Salute to pak army , long live pak army , long live Pakistan

Lalit Sharma Jun 16, 2014 09:41am

Good work done by pakistan govt. keep it up

Khan Jun 16, 2014 09:57am

I am against any military action in Pakistan because army"s job is to protect the borders. Pakistan army already lost the trust in small provinces and it is not good for the country. We should follow the example of good Muslims rulers from the past otherwise we have a example of first world countries where army do not kill there own people because they have strong base in which they solve there problems accordingly, since Pakistan bureaucracy is very crept as well as our leadership. Mr. Nawaz sheriff set the example for future leaders.

Bilal Jun 16, 2014 10:08am

@redrock hey, how do you do just that? no such thing..

Bilal Jun 16, 2014 10:09am

@the reluctant hypocrite eradicate.. more like day dreaming.. such short sight.. i'll be very surprised if this pak army could protect themselves, let alone "eradicate" bad stuff.. only way forward is dealing with the war of ideology.. not with weapons.. will NOT work! they are bound to fail.. sorry..

Bilal Jun 16, 2014 10:11am

@Fiz ha.. that sounds way closer to what people say about muslims here in america.. hmmmm.. now i know...

no running from the facts and real solutions. weapons will not fix this..

Syed Jun 16, 2014 10:11am

chase them even if we have to enter Afghanistan. who cares. we have to finish the job now and we are not going to let the border control come in our way!!!!

Syed Jun 16, 2014 10:14am

Durand Factor Jun 16, 2014 10:24am

They will all comeback and more will come from Afghan side. There is need to fence the border and restrict cross border movement.

Samad Chaudhry Jun 16, 2014 10:24am

Shah M Jun 16, 2014 10:25am

Bravo. Feeling blessed

khanm Jun 16, 2014 10:25am

There is one question pops in my mind after reading all those comments. do we have a constitutional/ international authority to carry out military operation after all the tribal region has never been the part of Pakistan.... we seriously need to define Pakistan's territory. Today we are carrying out the military operation, tomorrow it could be any country...

Taimur Jun 16, 2014 10:30am

PMLN government at last proved that they have the courage to take the right decision. God bless Pakistan and Pakistani army.

Kamran Jun 16, 2014 10:32am

Talibans should be totally taken out of our country. None of them should be found in Pakistan.

Asif Hussain Jun 16, 2014 10:32am

Let us hope that this operation is successful, it is about time that we realize that this situation presents us with an existential threat. We have to resolve this security threat before our country also becomes another Iraq.

Bilal Khalid Jun 16, 2014 10:33am

Altaf Hussain Rizvi Jun 16, 2014 10:41am

@FAIR Good Point!

Altaf Hussain Rizvi Jun 16, 2014 10:42am

@Jamal Your suggestion is very valid!

kk Jun 16, 2014 10:56am

well its not the first operation that army have started. Can any body count how many operations have been conducted since 2002.The hard reality is that the people of fata have deadly suffered both at the hand of army and taliban.Jet bombing and mortar shelling cant itself differentiate between civilian and terrorist. Also forced disappereance of innocent civilians by security forces is hard reality to digest.Taliban have also committed all sort of attrocities on the people of Fata that is cutting throats, stonning to death ,throwing into wells if failed to keep up with the demand of taliban and top of the all ranson money is very common.I hope this time these operations do not turn into futile exercise.

Ali Jun 16, 2014 11:01am

Godspeed. Flush them out. Do not stop until they are all eliminated. If offered an olive branch, reply with bullets please.

Riz Jun 16, 2014 11:01am

Why did it take so long to commence this operation? The terrorists should be wiped out; once and for all!

tariq Jun 16, 2014 11:03am

Time to eradicate enemy of the state ' Allah Akbar' 'Pakistan zinda abad'

Abs Jun 16, 2014 11:06am

Allah ho Akber, pakistan zindabad, Nasruminallah Wa Fathun Qareeb, May Allah grant success to pakistan army against these Shaitaans aka TTP.

muhammad Jun 16, 2014 11:18am

Government should also take stern action against all those religious and right wing political parties and individuals including so-called media anchors, journalists, analyats / experts who are confusing the nation and trying heir best to divide the nation and accumulate support for the terrorists on one pretext or another and nation should also keep strict eye on such elements who are in any way either with words or deeds supporting these terrorists in their streets, towns cities etc. and immediately report such activities to nearest police station

SMQ Zaman Jun 16, 2014 11:29am

@Mohammad Khan Now, your voice and those of your ilks here and esp. Imran Khan and PTI supporters is in the minority (as you can also see from the comments here and the vote in Dawn's survey - over 85% are in favour of this operation by our armed forces)! Pakistan Armed Forces Zindabad and Pakistan Paindabad!

sara Jun 16, 2014 11:34am

Dear imran khan there is no point to talk to these beasts, it is a high time that you and your party support Pak Aarmed force. Pakistan Zindabad. Pak army PLZ CRUSH THESE BEASTS

ali abbas Jun 16, 2014 11:35am

Crush these khwarij...Pak army zindabad

Sohaib Khan Jun 16, 2014 11:38am

@Rational well to be fair Pakistan first offered them talks to put an end to this. No one wanted a full blown war considering the direct effect it will have on the economy and in form of retaliatory attacks. A lot of Pakistanis have died for talks to continue. Time to step out of this limbo. But what you said is true. Better to prevent a disease then cure one.

Shazia Bangash Jun 16, 2014 12:06pm

There is no independent confirmation that the deaths were militants and no innocent villagers.

Salman Hasan Jun 16, 2014 12:11pm

Alhamdo lillah. Finally, common sense prevailed and the authorities realized that talking to the butchers and insane people like TTP can only be conducted in their own language. Wipe them out in a way that none of them dared to threaten Pakistan ever again. Now they will get to taste their own medicine. May Allah wipe these animals from the face of this planet and protect our Jawans and brave nation. Ameen.

Ravi Dallas TX Jun 16, 2014 12:20pm

Since they gave this operation a name, I would assume there are serious about this and this is "the" full scale operation that everyone is waiting for. I assume these air strikes will continue for few days, followed by forces advancing on the ground.

While we all are excited about this development, the very next thought that comes to mind is, why it took so long, why couldn't this be done earlier? Why did you have to ruin your country, ruin relations with other countries with US, India...why did you give chance for others to blame you as terrorist safe heaven, why did you let so many innocents die....those families who lost brother, son are wouldn't have to go thru that pain... still, kudos to finally doing this operation. Better late than never.

Mo Jun 16, 2014 12:20pm

Pakistan's D-Day: June 15, 2014

With 85% public in favour of a full-scale operation (as per survey by Dawn) and the comments here appear to support the survey and the wishes of the majority of the people of Pakistan, the PML(N) Government launched Pakistan's D-Day on Sunday, June 15.

Better late than never, but it seems that the brazen attack on Karachi Airport, by the TTP & Uzbek-led suicide mission, was the catalyst for 'change' by the Government of Pakistan.

A 'very strong and decisive action' must be taken now and a clear signal given, otherwise, failure will become an 'axis of terror' from Syria-Iraq-Afghanistan-Pakistan and also a threat to the World Order.

Government of Pakistan & Pakistan Armed Forces Zindabad and Pakistan Paindabad.

P.S. A British-Pakistan Muslim, a practising professional and an Intl. Development management consultant

Rational Indian Jun 16, 2014 12:45pm

Good going guys. Finish off those lunatics. We need stability in the region. Peace will follow. And most importantly, have a reign on Madrassas and curtail inflammatory speeches. Educate the public.

All the best.

A Rational Indian.

Syed Zubair Shah Jun 16, 2014 12:56pm

@ahmed mustafa We have around 8million Afghans living freely in our country right from Pehawar to Karachi doing all types of businesses. We have no go areas in Karachi where Afghans, Uzbeks Chechans and Arabs live without any check. Why don't we get rid off them. The DNA can identify the roots of an individual.

Asif Naeem Bhatti Jun 16, 2014 01:06pm

Junaid Jun 16, 2014 01:08pm

good work folks

saghir ayub Jun 16, 2014 01:24pm

Masha Allah our guys are dropping ammunition so precisely that not even a single innocent has been reported murdered. We are fighting a never ending war. Pakistan has been fighting with pushtoons who have been invaded many times in recorded history. Some of these invaders in the history of Afghanistan include Indians, Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan, Timur, the Mughal Empire, various Persian Empires, the British Empire, Sikh Empire, the Soviet Union, and currently a coalition force of NATO troops. What happened to all of them??? You do not need to a rocket scientist to understand the complexity and sensitivity of this area. At the end of day, no matter how many you kill or they kill, injure and displace, there is never going to be a military solution to this problem. It is always going to be political solution.

Bahadur Jun 16, 2014 01:46pm

After reading all comments against mullahs and madrasahs, I can say only this; Welcome 'Secular Republic of Pakistan'! As they say, It's never too late to learn lessons from your mistakes. I am talking of the Mistake of creating 'Islamic Republic of Pakistan'! ;-)

Munir Akbar Jun 16, 2014 02:20pm

Indeed, a timely and prudent decision taken by the government. It should have taken long ago anyhow, its not too late. Optimistically, Pak army will valiantly obliterate these animals and barbarians and our sacred land will be purged

Nasir Jun 16, 2014 04:44pm

Allah O Akber,

Salim A Jun 16, 2014 06:50pm

All mullahs and those standing with these militants (JI, JUI) and those political leaders who have sympathize with terrorists are traitors. There should be a complete cleaning. Leaving any of this cancer will only bring these criminals, back. Pakistan needs to come into the 21-Century if it wants to survive. We are already a full generation behind India.

ayesha Jun 16, 2014 06:55pm

pakistan army zindabad

Shahzad Channa Jun 17, 2014 05:15am

@daniel shiger Thank you for your beautiful comment sir. All the major terrorist activities are indeed conducted on the territory of Pakistan but not by Pakistani's most of them, as you can find in news are Uzbeks, Afghans,Tajiks, Chachens. This is not a blame game, respect for the nations I've named (terrorists do not represent any nation). Our country is the victim of terrorism and have paid a bigger cost then the United States and Nato.

I am proud of being Pakistani right from the first day because we have not just supported peace in words, but we have made a contribution to it through our sacrifices. We are the largest millitary contributor's of UN peace keeping mission. Our sacrifices should be acknowledged by the world and your positive views and right understanding can play a good part in it.

usman Jun 17, 2014 07:36am

We are with you Pak Army and ready to pay the price for peace, nsha Allah we shall get rid of terrorists soon. May Allah protect and bless Pakistan.!!! Pakistan zindabad !!!

Valiya Jun 17, 2014 11:11am

@Shahzad Channa You are correct but how these foreign militants are doing their operations without local support. Instead of addressing the root cause simply showing patriotism will not help as the sympathizers are in the establishment itself and these foreign militants are implementing the orders of their bosses. unfortunately fanaticism prevails in the society

Sam Jun 17, 2014 05:16pm

Hi, I am from India. I have a question of curiosity. Everyday there are headlines like the above...... 120 terrorists dead, 30 terrorists dead etc.etc.etc. How does one know the count. Are the bodies displayed? Even if the bodies are displayed how does one confirm that they are terrorists?

In India bodies of killed terrorists/ Maoists are displayed and all details from the bodies are recorded for judicial reviews. Though the numbers are not as high as in Pakistan.

Dr. Sadaf Jun 17, 2014 10:44pm

@Faizal this decision has not come from the rulers, they have been forced to stamp approval , we all know these present rulers they are so afraid of TTP, they do not have the guts to do all this. They only know how to do money laundering and make more money.

umesh Jun 18, 2014 06:56am

pakistan must pull these extremists out of pakistan. well done Sharif Saheb. we indians and you pakistan and whole of the world are sduffering from this menace. time to get rid of them.

Abu Bakr Jun 18, 2014 11:48am

Bong Jun 18, 2014 08:47pm

@Bilal :Stay in America....and dont give lecture living there about needs to be done in Pakistan.

ASAD khan Jun 20, 2014 02:38am

i like it one of my brother saying what prompted our brothers in the tribal belt to take arms against their own people? Have anyone from our top brass both from the Army and the Government sympathized with our bothers when drones used to wipe out their whole family on the grounds that they reside in the tribal belt. We must all put our thoughts to these focal questions. An Army operation is not the solution when you are addressing the symptoms rather than the causes. May Allah bless us brothers in the NWA and protect our country from the fatal consequences that might unfold due to the announced operation...
