MUZAFFARGARH: A 10-year-old girl kidnapped from Muradabad on Saturday morning, was raped and killed and her body was found in a cotton field.

Police said two sisters ‘Al’ and ‘Ma’, daughters of ‘Ha’, were kidnapped by their cousin ‘Ah.’ The family launched a search for the girls and some people spotted a body in a cotton field and informed the family and police.

District Police Officer Rai Zameerul Haq along with his team reached the spot and shifted the body to Muzaffargarh District Headquarters Hospital for postmor-tem.

The medical report confirmed that ‘Al’ was raped and strangled. A police team arrested suspect ‘Ah’ and recovered the other girl from his custody.

Saddar Station House Officer Malik Farooq said the police registered a case against the suspect.

Meanwhile, the chief minister has taken notice of the incident and sought a report from the Muzaffargarh DPO.
