KHUZDAR: An anti-terrorism court in Kalat division, headed by judge Bashir Ahmed Badani, awarded life imprisonment and Rs100,000 fine each to seven accused in a murder case on Friday.

According to the prosecution, Naseer Ahmed, Bashir Ahmed, Noor Ahmed, Munir Ahmed, Mohammad Alam, Abdul Hameed and Mohammad Ishaq were involved in the murder of one Abdul Qadoos Rekizai.

Rekizai was slain in Surab area of Kalat district on July 18, 2013.

Only one of the accused, Naseer Ahmed, was arrested. The others were declared absconders.

Advocate Ghulam Rasool appeared in the court on behalf of the prosecution.
