KARACHI: The Sindh Women’s Hockey Association (SWHA) selection committee short-listed 47 players at the end of the two-day trials which concluded at the Hockey Club of Pakistan Stadium on Thursday.

The probables will attend a five-day training camp which starts at HCP Stadium on Friday at 9am.

Two teams of Sindh will be picked from amongst the probables for the 28th National Women’s Hockey Championship which begins at the HCP Stadium from March 26.

It is pertinent to mention that 73 players from Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur and Larkana featured in the trials. No player from Mirpurkhas show up for the trials.

SWHA president Khushbakht Shujaat has named Abuzar as chief coach, Mohammad Asif coach and Syed Erum Bokhari camp commandant.
