LAKKI MARWAT: Lakki Marwat deputy commissioner Syed Zafar Ali Shah has asked the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Highway Authority (KPHA) to repair the roads in Lakki city to ease people’s misery.

He was speaking at a meeting at the district headquarters complex Tajazai on Saturday, according to an official privy to the meeting. KPHA, Bannu assistant director Mazhar Ali and other officials were also in attendance.

The official said that the meeting requested the relevant quarters to make Tajazai-Darra Tang road dual carriageway as it connected Lakki city with Mianwali district of Punjab.

Mr Shah also asked the KPHA to redesign the Shaheed Abid Ali, Kargil, Michenkhel Adda and Syedkhel Adda thoroughfares to reduce traffic mess and ensure smooth traffic flow in the city, said the official, adding the authority was also requested to construct a bypass road around the city. — Correspondent
