RAWALPINDI: Foreign players will feature in the International Women Squash Championship scheduled to be held here at the Safari Club, Bahria Town from Feb 21 to 24.

Retired Commodore Mohammad Ilyas, VCE Bahria Town, Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) secretary Group Capt. Amir Nawaz and project in-charge Bahria Town Sitwat Baber held a joint press conference at the Safari Club on Saturday.

They said players from China, Sri Lanka, India and South Korea will be participating in the tournament.

Ilyas said at a time when Pakistan sports are facing a challenging situation, this squash event would provide relief besides sending a positive signal from Pakistan to the international community.

The said event is approved by the PSF and is registered with the England-based Women Squash Association. —APP
