KARACHI, June 23: The registrar of the University of Karachi has announced the names of college principals, who have been elected unopposed to the senate of the university.

Those elected from the constituency of principals of affiliated colleges are Prof Muhammad Asghar Khan of Superior Commerce College (Evening), Prof Muhammad Sualaheen Khan Lodhi of Jamia Millia Degree College (Morning) and Prof Surriya Masroor of Govt Degree College for Women, North Nazimabad.

TEXTBOOKS: The curriculum committee of the University of Karachi has published two textbooks namely Makhzan-e-Urdu for degree classes, which would be effective from the new academic year. This is for the first time in history of the university that it has devised a curricula for degree classes students and prepared books at its own. Some other universities have also shown interest to include the books in their curriculum.
