CHARSADDA: The building of the only post office of Shabaqadar is in dilapidated condition and needed urgent repair to protect letters and packages and other office record.
Built in 1980, the inside hall of the post office is fast ruining due to seepage. Besides, the building has no boundary wall and proper furniture. The mail bound for Mohmand Agency is also routed through this office.
The Shabqadar post office supervises four sub-offices and 18 branches in the region. The staffers complain that in case of rain water enters the building and damages the office record.
People of the area have demanded a new building for the post office.
