PESHAWAR, Nov 21: The Mutahidda Amn Committee has condemned violence in Rawalpindi on Ashura and demanded of the government to probe the case and take action against the elements responsible for killing of innocent people and destruction of public properties.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Mutahidda Amn Committee general secretary Maulana Hussain Ahmad Madani said that the tragic incident in Rawalpindi seemed an organised conspiracy against the country. It was duty of the government to expose perpetrators of the incidents, he added.

Accompanied by Maulana Irshadul Haq Madani, Haji Sher Rehman Mulagori and other members of the committee, Maulana Hussain said that anti-state elements wanted to create anarchy and instability in the country. However, they would not succeed in their nefarious designs, he added.

He demanded of the government to take action against the perpetrators and bring them to justice. The government should announce special compensation package for the heirs of the Rawalpindi incident victims, he added.

The country, Maulana Hussain said, was faced with internal and external conspiracies and the ultimate sufferers were poor people. He also condemned the US drone strikes, saying that were against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.

He said that situation was going from bad to worse with each passing day but the government was unable to control it.

The peace body leader said that rulers seemed helpless before the anti-state elements. He urged all religious sects to forge unity in their ranks and foil conspiracies of anti-state elements.
