KARACHI, Nov 16: Top seed Hasan Farooq captured a double crown in the Sindh ranking tennis championship which concluded at Bath Island Tennis Club court on Saturday.

He accounted for Hania Naveed 6-3, 6-0 in the final to land the juniors’ under-17 crown and later coasted to 6-3, 6-4 victory over Zubair Raja to annex under-15 title.

Meanwhile, second seed Malik Hamza shocked top seed Fahim Ramzan 6-3, 6-3 in the final to claim men’s singles crown.

Hania, however, made amends while picking up ladies singles title beating Neha Khan 6-0, 6-0 in the final.

Bilal Imran was stretched to limits before getting the better of Mohammad Dada 7-6, 4-6, 12-10 to win the under-13 title.

Men’s singles:

Final: Malik Hamza bt Fahim Ramzan 6-3, 6-3.

Semi-finals: Fahim Ramzan bt Vinod Das 6-4, 6-3; Malik Hamza bt Bilal Soomro 6-4, 6-3.

Quarter-final: Vinod Das bt Danish Ramzan 6-2, 6-1.

First round: Danish Ramzan bt Jonathon Loyall (walkover).

Ladies singles:

Final: Hania Naveed bt Neha Khan 6-0, 6-0.

Semi-final: Neha Khan bt Rida Khan 6-0, 6-3.

First round: Rida Khan bt Samia (walkover).

Juniors’ under-17 singles:

Final: Hasan Farooq bt Hania Naveed 6-3, 6-0.

Semi-finals: Hania Naveed bt Mohammad Dada 6-3, 6-0; Hasan Farooq bt Maheen Dada 6-4, 6-2.

First round: Hania Naveed bt Wania Khan 6-2, 7-5.

Under-15 singles:

Final: Hasan Farooq bt Zubair Raja 6-3, 6-4.

Under-13 singles:

Final: Bilal Imran bt Mohammad Dada 7-6, 4-6, 12-10.
