KARACHI, Oct 25: Kalakot XI beat Kalri XI 1-0 in the opening match of of the Commissioner Karachi Lyari Inter-Mohallah Football tournament which opened here at the Peoples Stadium on Friday.
Shahzad Sunny scored in the 15th minute to give a decisive lead to Kalakot XI which then defended the advantage well for the rest of the match to beat Kalri XI in the thrilling clash.
In the other match, Chakiwara XI and Shah Baig XI played a 0-0 draw.
Earlier, Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Siddiqui inaugurated the tournament in which ten teams are participating. All the matches will be played on league basis and the final will be held on Sunday, November 3rd.—Agencies
