LAHORE, Oct 24: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday issued notices to the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) and the Pakistan Sports Board on a petition seeking a stay against PHF election.

Former Olympian Naveed Alam filed the petition alleging that the PHF election will be massively rigged as both contenders and the members of the election commission were sitting on high posts in the PHF.

The petitioner prayed to the court to stay the PHF polls starting from Oct 25 besides directing respondents to follow rules and regulations before holding the polls.

Justice Shujaat Ali Khan sought replies from the respondents by Nov 11.
