Afghan refugees living in Pakistan also celebrated Eid along with Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries on Tuesday.
Eid prayers were held in different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the tribal areas and the large cities across the country. A large number of Afghan refugees attended the prayers.
A large gathering for Eid prayers was held at Nasirbagh and Kacha ghari in Peshawar. Other areas of the city included Shamashtu, Board Bazaar, Afghan Colony, and Hayatabad.
Mohmand Agency and Khyber Agency saw the offering of Eid prayers in the Tribal areas.
Afghan refugees also offered Eid prayers in the cities of Abbotabad, Mardan and Bannu, among others.
Eid prayers in different parts of the country centered around strengthening the ties between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
After prayers, the people left to offer the religious sacrifices of either a goat(s), cow or bull.
