QUETTA, Oct 14: The Balochistan High Court directed office-bearers of the All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) on Monday to immediately remove their protest camps from roadsides and public pavements which affected the flow of traffic and created problems for pedestrians.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Justice Muhammad Kamran Mulakhel issued the order on a petition filed by Advocate Nasir Khan Yousuf who complained that the APCA’s camp at the city’s main chowk was causing inconvenience to the general public.

The court said in its order that in case of non-compliance, the authorities concerned would be directed to remove the camps.

The Balochistan government, inspector general of police, inspector general of the Frontier Corps, CCPO Quetta and the APCA have been made respondents in the petition.

The petitioner said the APCA had set up the camp on the intersection of Zarghoon, Prince and White roads.

The court will take up the case on Oct 21.
