Case registered in college girl's rape; Sindh CM takes notice

KARACHI: A case was registered at Karachi’s Shahrah-i-Noor Jehan Police Station Saturday against an unknown person for allegedly raping a 15-year-old college girl, DawnNews reported.

Earlier on October 11, the girl had left for her college by a rickshaw in the limits of Taimuria police of District Central. However, she was allegedly intoxicated and taken away by the rickshaw driver.

According to sources, she was found in an unconscious condition at a place in Phase-I of DHA at night.

She was shifted to Jinnah Post-Graduate Medical Centre where doctors said she had been raped.

The FIR was registered today against an unknown person on a complaint lodged by the victim’s uncle.

Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah took notice of the rape 12 hours after the incident occurred and ordered immediate arrest of the suspect.

The Sindh CM moreover sought a report of the incident from the police.

Will anyone please tell me what happened to the Doctor who raped nurse in Jinnah Hospital karachi, the poor nurse jumped out of the window to save herself from TheSaver of Human lives. Will someone please let me know what happend to the Security Officer of Agricultural Development Bank Head Office Islamabd, who is a retired brigadier who beatup the Income Tax department staffand illegally confined them in the Head Office of ADBP. And if possible will someone tell me what happened to the retired brigadier, who did Phd from the University in Islamabad where he was working as Registrar and what happened to the lecturer of the same University who was man handled by the Registra (Brigadier sahib) when he objected.

"PM ordered immediate arrest of the suspect" - what a joke! Mr. PM get serious. Get on TV, launch a serious campaign against such a behavior, get relentless, seek public support, ask people to be vigilant, tell women/girls on how to protect themselves...there is someone out there who witnessed it and until you motivate the society, crimes like these cannot be controlled.

I hope , two things will not play the dirty roll here 1- The DNA tests would be used to apprehend the so far unknown rapist WITHOUT allowing the CII council based Mullahs to rule against its use and to urge the poor soul to produce 4 adult muslim witness else get herself convicted of zina , 2- Once the culprit is identified by this scientific method , I hope no one will come froward to forgive the culprit in the name of God ..... If these two rules are taken care with the purpose of providing justice to the poor girl , Only then , we can see the purpose and usefulness of the administrative notice taken by the Chief minister .

Rape is for me - at least - as serious a crime as murder. The culprits should be punished accordingly. Basically the rape victims are condemned to live like walking dead. Those responsible for such a crime should not go away easily with it. In our society (and also in many other countries, also in Europe) the notion of partial responsibility of the victims is wide-spread and it is completely absurd! Victims are victims and have no responsibility for a crime they suffered. Many rape cases do not come to light and are not registered because of this absurdity. Knowing our social framework, I appreciate the courage of the family of this poor lady. Wish you and your family a lot of patience and good luck

Why does it require some one in authority to take notice for the poor before action begins. ALLAH's doesn't and HE is the ALMIGHTY. Wake up world these are our children. We should prevent it before it happens. We should be aware of the fact (no matter what any ill heart say) we will return to HIM.

Mr. CM stop circulation of obsene videos, books, films and pictures in the city, which are going on in the name of freedom of expression. Also support an NGO where young men of limited means can get married. The facilitation of Nikah and the obstruction of filth is required in addition to punishing people who commit such henious crimes.
