LAHORE, Sept 3: Usman Nawaz took first while Hasan Raza Sialwi and Muhammad Abu Bakar bagged second and third positions, respectively, in the First Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Naat Competition on Tuesday.

Hafiz Ajwad Obaid of Jamia Ashrafia, Qari Rafiq Naqshbandi of Jamia Naeemia, Hafiz Mahboob Ahmed Hamdani and Sarwar Husain Naqshbandi were judges for the competition, organised in connection with the Lahore Shopping Festival 2013.

Chief guest MNA Pirzada Syed Imran Ahmad Shah said on the occasion the government would continue to support all LCCI initiatives aimed at expediting economic activities in the country.

He said the Lahore Shopping Festival would help encourage other chambers of commerce as well to start such activities to ensure participation of the masses.LCCI President Farooq Iftikhar said the Na’at competition would be arranged at a bigger level from next year so that more and more people could participate in it.
