LAHORE, Aug 5: A banking group has donated Rs1 million to the Lahore Businessmen Association for Rehabilitation of Disabled.

Group Chief of Commercial and Retail Banking of Allied Bank Khwaja Almas handed over the cheque to Labard President and MNA Pervez Malik at a ceremony at the LCCI on Monday. Mr Almas said the group would continue to work with the Labard in order to make the less privileged class of the society active members.

MNA Malik said the donation would help Labard extend the scope of its services. He said the Labard was not only establishing camps in various parts of the city for the registration of disabled persons but was also focusing on building the confidence of people who had been suffering due to some disability so that they could be able to face all challenges boldly. — Staff Reporter
