Shah Mehmood Qureshi loses to Talpur in Umerkot

Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) vice-president Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi has lost NA-228 election to Nawab Yousuf Talpur who managed 37,835 votes. Qureshi secured 33,895 votes.

Qureshi has remained a rather controversial figure in Imran Khan’s party, reportedly due to tensions between himself and his traditional rival Javed Hashmi.
