Director Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra says his upcoming film 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' is not just a sports film but shows the entire journey of legendary athlete Milkha Singh.

"Here is a boy who lost his family at the age of 12 but still he wanted to do something for his country. This human story attracted me, not the records, which were an added bonus," the director said.

According to TOI: There were reports saying the film has been banned in Pakistan but Mehra said film will release in the neighbouring country.

"We are the first people to get an invitation from Pakistan to showcase the film. The film will very much release there. In fact today only we got three offers from Pakistan on releasing the film," Mehra said.

Starring Farhan Akhtar and Sonam Kapoor, the film is slated to release on July 12.
