HARIPUR, May 11: A woman and her two minor children received severe burn injuries, when a gas cylinder accidentally exploded on Saturday evening, setting the house on fire.

The injured were rushed to the DHQ hospital where they were reported to be out of danger.

The police said that Mussarat Bibi, a resident of Mohalla Mangloor, was cooking on a gas stove when the cylinder burst with a big bang, setting the house on flames.

A portion of the roof of the house, according to the eye- witnesses, exploded and the fire engulfed the entire house and all items inside the house were gutted. However, the family members were rescued by the villagers, who, later took them to the hospital. The injured are Mussarat Bibi, her minor son Faisal and daughter Uzma.
