LAHORE, April 30: Robbers looted gold ornaments worth Rs2 million from a jewellery shop and cash and valuables worth Rs2.6m from four houses in the city on Monday.

Three robbers in customers’ guise entered Jahangir Jewellers in the main bazaar of Garhi Shaho, held the owner and staff at gunpoint, collected jewellery worth Rs2 million, along with security guard’s pistol and fled away.

Garhi Shaho police are investigating.

Four robbers barged in the house of Azhar in North Cantonment police limits and made off with cash and valuables worth Rs1 million.

Similarly, robbers stormed Salamat’s house in Johar Town police limits and looted cash and valuables worth Rs0.6 million.

Furqan’s house in Shadbagh police limits was also targeted by robbers who escaped after looting cash and valuables worth Rs0.5 million.

Some robbers entered the house of Najeeb in Sattokatla police limits and plundered cash and valuables worth Rs0.5 million.

Two robbers stopped the family of Mian Asif in Baghbanpura police limits and looted cash and valuables worth Rs0.4 million.

As many robbers, including a woman, approached the family of Ibrahim in Iqbal Town police limits and looted cash and valuables worth Rs0.3 million.
