SUKKUR, Jan 30: A court official, in a raid on Ghotki police station on Monday, freed a teenage boy and a youth from illegal confinement.

Abu Bakar Kalwar, resident of Pir Baghdadi village, had submitted an application in the court of the district and session judge of Ghotki, stating that police had detained his nephews Aftab Kalwar, 20, and Nadeem Kalwar, 13, although no case was registered against them.

The judge appointed a court official, Pervez Channa, as raid commissioner and directed him to conduct a raid on the police station.

During the raid, he found Aftab Kalwar and Nadeem Kalwar in the lock-up. However, no entry of any case against them was found in the record.

Mr Channa sealed the record and set the duo at liberty. He directed the SHO Waris Gaddani to appear before the court on Tuesday along with relevant record, if any.
