NAWABSHAH, Aug 15: An under-trial prisoner was killed and two other people were injured when a policeman opened fire on the premises of the district and session court here on Monday.

Constable Pervez Akhtar Rajput opened fire with his official rifle, killing Shakeel Rajput and injuring Faqir Mohammed Dahiri and Inayatullah Baladi.

The policeman was arrested and those injured and the body were taken to People's Medical College Hospital.

An official at the A- Section police station told journalists that the Pervez and Shakeel were relatives and the former had accused the latter of criminally assaulting his daughter one and half year ago.
