PESHAWAR, July 4: Two people including a policeman were killed and four others injured in three separate attacks here on Monday, police said.

In one of the incidents, suspected militants threw a hand grenade inside a police post at Gulabad near Gulberg early on Monday morning which went off with a bang. It resulted in killing of an alleged dacoit detained in the lock-up and caused injuries to a policeman, an official of Bala Manai police station told Dawn.

In another attack, unknown miscreants opened fire on two policemen riding a motorbike in Gulberg on Monday evening. An official said that constables Khan Gul and Adnan received critical injuries and were being shifted to Lady Reading Hospital when the former succumbed to his wounds.

In the third incident, unknown persons hurled a hand grenade at the guest house of a faith healer, Bacha Saheb, at Daura Road on Sunday night, which caused injuries to two of his guests. — Bureau Report
