LONDON England bowled out Pakistan for 241 in the third one-day international on Friday as it looks to complete a clean sweep of six series victories this summer with two matches to spare.
England requires 242 from its allotted 50 overs at the Oval to take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series.
Fawad Alam topscored for Pakistan with a career-best 64, including three boundaries before being caught by England captain Andrew Strauss. James Anderson was the pick of Englands bowlers with 3-26.
Pakistan is seeking its first victory of a series blighted by spot-fixing allegations. Earlier Friday, police who have questioned four Pakistan players, announced that they had passed their evidence to prosecutors who will consider charges.

But Anderson and Tim Bresnan dismissed both openers, Kamran Akmal and Mohammad Hafeez, who scored just six runs between them. Hafeez edged Andersons delivery behind to Steve Davies, while Akmal was removed by Bresnans leg-side delivery.
Already this summer, England has beaten Bangladesh in a test and one-day series, Australia in a one-day campaign, and Pakistan in the test and Twenty20 formats.
