KARACHI, Feb 22 Hosts Karachi Port Trust (KPT) will take on Punjab as the KPT-PFF Cup kicks off with a Group 'D' encounter at the KPT-Benazir Sports Complex at 4.30pm on Tuesday. The tournament comprises 16 teams — representing 11 departments, four provinces and one region — that have been divided into four groups.

Group 'A' is made up of Khan Research Laboratories (KRL), National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), Habib Bank Limited (HBL) and Sindh while Group 'B' comprises Army, Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC), Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) and Balochistan.

Navy, Pakistan Steel, Pak Elektron Limited (PEL) and NWFP have been placed in Group 'C' and Group 'D' has Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), KPT, Islamabad and Punjab.

Twenty of the 32 matches of the event will be played at the KPT-Benazir Sports Complex while the Quaid-i-Azam football field at Steel Town will play host to the remaining 12 encounters.
