KARACHI: Two boys aged between eight and 10 years drowned in a sewerage drain in New Karachi on Sunday evening, according to police.

Gabol Town police SHO Waseem Ahmed said three boys were playing near their homes adjacent to the drain in Miskeenabad when the dilapidated wall of the storm-water drain fell on them. As a result, two boys drowned in the drain while the third one remained safe. Their bodies were recovered.

The victims were identified as Naimat Sher, 10, and Maseed Bakht, 8.

They were relatives and originally belonged to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
