KARACHI: A double cabin vehicle of the United Nations was snatched in Karachi on Friday, whereas six people were reported injured in two separate incident in the city, DawnNews reported. Moreover, two alleged members of a banned group were also taken into custody here by law enforcement personnel.

Unidentified men snatched the double cabin vehicle of the UN from Karachi’s Ayesha Manzil area.

Viewing the snatching as an alarming development, law enforcement agencies (LEAs) boosted security across the city.

Meanwhile, Rangers claimed to have arrested two alleged members of a banned outfit. The arrests were made during a raid carried out in Mujahid Colony in Karachi’s Liaquatabad Town.

Separately, four people, including a woman and a child, were injured in Lyari Town’s Chakiwara area. Another two other people were injured in a hand grenade attack in Lyari's Cheel Chowk.

The casualties occurred when unknown gunmen opened indiscriminate firing in the area, with the four injured receiving multiple bullet wounds.

Subsequently, Rangers and police personnel rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to a hospital for treatment.
