HYDERABAD: The Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (JSMM) on Tuesday gave a province-wide strike call for Saturday against Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain’s idea of creating an urban Sindh within the province.

A JSMM statement issued here on Tuesday also warned the British government that if it continued to keep a discreet silence over

Mr Hussain’s such statements, then its interests in Sindh would not be safe.

The statement quoted JSMM chief Shafi Burfat as telling Britain that its soil was being used against the integrity of Sindh and it was keeping a discreet silence. Mr Hussain, he alleged, was spreading hatred by issuing anti-Sindh statements.

Mr Burfat said “all conspiracies hatched by Altaf Hussain and others to foment ethnic riots will be foiled”.

He urged Urdu-speaking people to support the JSMM in foiling these conspiracies. “If the UK government didn’t control its citizen, then its interests in Sindh will no longer be safe,” he warned.
