JALALABAD, July 6: Pakistan Army personnel and Afghan fighters were involved in fresh clashes on the border during the weekend, security forces here said on Sunday.

The sources said small-arms fire had been traded in the Yakoubi district of Nangarhar province between the Afghan Brigade militia and Pakistan Army on Saturday.

The exchanges went on for about four hours and a Pakistani vehicle was destroyed.—AFP
