KHUZDAR: Two people were killed and as many injured in a road accident on the Quetta-Karachi National Highway near the Bencha area of Kalat district on Tuesday.

Levies officials said the accident occurred when two cars travelling from opposite directions collided, killing two people on the spot and injuring two others.

The bodies and injured were shifted to the district hospital, where the deceased were identified as Ali Hassan and Lakmir Khan. The injured were identified as Mohammad Ishaq, a resident of Khuzdar, and Rehmatullah, a resident of Surab.
