SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: Six people were killed when a car plunged into a ravine on the Upper South Waziristan-Jandola Road near the Khargai checkpost here on Sunday evening.

The police said the car was on way from Ladha, Upper South Waziristan to Tank district. They said over-speeding was the cause of the accident. They said a child was also injured in the accident.

Rescue officials said that the deceased included three women, two children and the car driver, Dost Mohammad Mehsud. The victims belonged to Towda Cheena area of Ladha tehsil.

The deceased and the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital.
