Gaza’s Government Media Office had said it is sending out a “humanitarian SOS” to the international community to help two million internally displaced people in the besieged coastal enclave “before it’s too late”, Al Jazeera reports.

The office said it is making an urgent plea for help with the beginning of autumn and the possibility of experiencing dipping temperatures and “difficult weather conditions”.

“More than 74 per cent of the tents of those who are internally displaced are not safe or suitable for use,” it said.
