The Palestinian Civil Defence Agency says that at least two people have been killed in an Israeli air attack on Shuhada al-Zeitoun School in Gaza City, Al Jazeera reports.

The Israeli military acknowledged that it carried out this attack, claiming it was hitting a military command room at the school-turned-shelter for displaced people.

It also claimed that it took steps to “mitigate civilian harm in the strike”.
