Shortage of basic medicines exceeds 60pc in Gaza: health ministry

Al Jazeera Arabic spoke to Mousa Abed, director general of primary healthcare at Gaza’s Health Ministry.

He said the enclave’s hospitals lack 83 percent of the medical supplies and 74pc of life-saving medicines are not available in the besieged Palestinian territory.

More than 85pc of specialised medicines for cancer treatment and kidney dialysis are unavailable in Gaza, Abed added.
