UNRWA chief Philippe Lazzarini has reiterated his call for a ceasefire in Gaza, Al Jazeera reports.

“No one can take this any longer,” he posted on X. “Humanity must prevail.”

The UNRWA has suffered funding cuts after several of its staff were accused by Israel of involvement in the October 7 attack by Hamas, claims which were determined to be unsubstantiated in an independent review.
