Following a ministerial meeting, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati says efforts are being made to “stop the escalation”, adding that “what is required is to stop the Israeli aggression first”, Al Jazeera reports.

Mikati made the statement after the meeting to follow up on the developments in the south of the country, after Hezbollah and Israel’s military exchanged new attacks.
