KARACHI, Sept 23: The Karachi Union of Journalists has urged the chairman of the 8th wage board, Justice Sakhi Hussain Bokhari, to initiate proceedings at the earliest and announce interim relief for employees.

A resolution adopted at the first meeting of the newly-elected KUJ committee, chaired by its president G.M. Jamali, expressed satisfaction over formation of the board and resolved to foil any move against the 8th wage board.

The meeting reviewed arrangements for the biennial delegates meeting of the PFUJ to be held in Karachi from Oct 24 to 26 to hold its elections and work out its plan of action.
