KARACHI, March 20 The administration of Pakistan International School of Damascus, Syria, is celebrating Pakistan Day in a benefiting manner by holding a sports week.

According to the information received here, special instructions for the purpose were given out by the chairman of the school's board of governors Nawabzada Aminullah Khan Raisani, who wants the pupils to participate in the celebrations like any child in Pakistan would do.

Meanwhile, the school's principal Mrs Saeeda Yasmin said that they would be holding separate competitions for boys and girls during the sports week.

The students of elementary, junior and senior sections will participate in football, basket ball, table tennis and volley ball competitions.

March 23 will be celebrated by holding a colourful ceremony which includes a football match between the teachers and parents after the hoisting of the Pakistan flag.—Agencies
