Girls volleyball

KARACHI, March 31 Apwa College, Sir Syed College and Saudabad College registered victories over their opponents on the opening day of the Karachi Girls Volleyball Cup 2009 which commenced at Habib Girls School on Tuesday.

Apwa College inflicted 25-9, 25-11 defeat on Islamia College, Sir Syed College struggled to overcome Habib Girls School 19-25, 26-24, 27-25 while Saudabad College got the better of Pakistan Academy 25-5, 25-9.

Six teams are competing in the event.
