Karachi beat Hyderabad

KARACHI, April 27 Spinner Faraz Ahmed captured four wickets and opener Faraz Ali struck a sparkling half-century as Karachi beat Hyderabad by seven wickets in the PCB Mobilink Hunt for Heroes One-day Under-16 cricket tournament at the National Stadium on Monday.

Captain Faraz Ahmed took four wickets for 32 in ten overs and Masood Zahoor snapped up three for 36 in 9.3 overs as batting first, Hyderabad were bowled out for 180 in 48.5 overs.

Hasnain Raza hammered three fours and two sixes in his 29-ball 39 and opener Darya Khan hit four fours in his steady 38 off 104 balls.

Karachi, in reply, romped home for the loss of three wickets in 32.4 overs. Opener Faraz Ahmed hit a blazing 71 with ten boundaries and Saad Ali made an unbeaten 68 with nine fours.
