DADU, April 28: The patients at the civil and other government hospitals of the district keep suffering due to the unannounced load-shedding. Besides, the summer heat makes things worse.

The EDO, Health, Dadu, Dr Khadim Hussain Lakhair, and the office bearers of the All Pakistan Small Traders and Cottage Industries complained against the load-shedding in the various parts of the district on Monday.

The power supply to various parts of Dadu town and its surrounding areas remained suspended for eight hours on Monday as a result of which hospitals and businesses were affected the most.

Dr Lakhair told this correspondent that operations could not be performed on schedule because of the unannounced load-shedding by Hesco, and added that as a result of this the patients were suffering.

He appealed to the chairman, Wapda, and the Hesco chief to control the unscheduled load-shedding in hospitals at least.

The president, All Pakistan Small Traders and Cottage Industries, Dadu Mohammad Hashim Qambrani, while talking to newsmen, said that the unscheduled load-shedding was badly affecting businesses.

He also complained about the detection and inflated bills which were being issued to Hesco clients. He said that a protest demonstration would be held against Hesco officials in Dadu town on April 29.

When this correspondent tried to contact the executive engineer, Hesco, Dadu, on the telephone, he was not available.
