KARACHI, May 5 Irshad Ali of Pakistan Navy grabbed his second individual gold in the 18th National Shooting Championship at the PN Shooting Range on Wednesday.

Irshad, 46, a silver and bronze medallist at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, after snatching a gold in Free Pistol on Tuesday, gave another super display of precision to pick his second gold in Standard Pistol.

Irshad and Khaleel Ahmed were tied at 551/600 points but the former won on shoot-out.

Defending champion Navy is on the top with five gold, four silver and three bronze medals and Army is placed second with five gold, four silver and one bronze medal.

At the end of the championship on May 9, the National Rifle Association of Pakistan will pick probables to undergo training for the Commonwealth Games to be held in New Delhi in October.
