PHF trials held in Sialkot

LAHORE, Jan 5 Trials to select players for PHF Hockey Academy in Sialkot were held at the Sialkot Hockey Stadium on Monday.

Sixty-two players, short-listed out of 263 probables, appeared in the trials held in the age-groups of Under-14, U-15, U-16.

In the next phase, the final trials will be held in few days to shortlist the probables to 33. The trials were watched by Punjab selection committee comprising Anjum Saeed (Chairman), Shabir Ahmad, Gulraiz Sheikh and Khalid Rasool alongwith coaches of Sialkot Hockey Academy Ajmal Khan (UBL), Tariq Sheikh (NBP) and Sabir Ali (Sialkot).

The trials to select the players for Abbotabad Hockey Academy will be held on Tuesday at the Abbotabad Hockey Stadium at 10.00am.

The selection committee headed by Naeem Akhtar (Chairman), with members Zia Banori, Rahim Khan and Musaddiq Khan alongwith coaches Arshad Munir (HBL), Riasat Ali (PIA) and Mudassar Khan (Wapda) will see the probables in action.
