KARACHI, March 6 The quarter-final lineup in the Inter-club Hockey Championship-2009 is now complete with Al Faisal Hockey Club, Beecham Hockey Club, Telecom Gymkhana, Airport Hockey Club, Karachi Police, Rauf XI and Mohammad XI making it to the next round starting Sunday after a day's rest.

Friday's matches at the UBL Sports Complex saw Airport Gymkhana and United Gymkhana registering wins.

The first match saw Airport Gymkhana beating Baldia Gymkhana 4-2. Centre-forward Shadab scored two with right-in Sultan Ashraf and left-in Imran adding one each for the winners.

Centre-forward Wilayat Ali and right-in Bakthiar Ali scored one each for the losers.

In the next match, United Gymkhana beat Al Sagheer 6-5 on penalty strokes when the score line remained 2-2 during regulation time. Centre-forward Faizan Khan scored both the goals for United and centre-forward Sohail Abbas and right-in Shahzad Ali scored for the losers. Later, United converted four goals while Al Sagheer could only manage to convert three.

At the Hockey Club of Pakistan (HCP), Beecham Hockey Club thrashed Karachi Tigers 6-1. International centre-forward Arif Bhopali and left-out Rizwan Khan scored two each and left-in Zeeshan Ali and right-out Zunaid Ahmad scored one each.

Left-in Ahmed scored the consolation goal for the losers.

Meanwhile, Rauf XI earned a walkover against Habib Public School when the latter failed to show up. The last of the round matches were also watched by Pakistan Hockey Federation's (PHF) Joint Secretary Mohammad Abdullah along with Secretary Sindh Hockey Federation Mohommad Saleem.
