Sara wins tennis event

ISLAMABAD, June 27 Sara Mahboob added yet another feather in her cap when she lifted the Subh-e-Nau Women's National tennis championship trophy at the PTF Tennis Complex on Saturday.

Sara, also top seed of championship, played some good down the line winners to overcome her opponent 6-4 in the first set.

She displayed some excellent volley game and took advantage of slow shots to break the service of Ushna and won the second set 6-3.

In the juniors final, luck favoured Heera Ashiq as his opponent Faizan Khurram was retired hurt. Heera was leading the first set 4-1.

A total of Rs150,000 was disbursed among the players by the chairperson of Sub-e-Nau.

Women's Sara Mahboob bt Ushna Sohail 6-3, 6-4.

Boys' U-17 Heera Ashiq bt Faizan Khurram 4-1 (retd hurt).
