Sattar claims snooker crown

KARACHI, Feb 19 Top seed Abdul Sattar dethroned holder Umair Alam 6-3 in the final to land the Sindh Cup snooker contest at the Aly's parlour on Friday.

Sattar won the best of 11 finals 64-37, 1-84, 74-39, 82-0, 71-45, 56-86, 51-71, 89-0, 63-18.Earlier, Farrukh Usman carved out a 4-1 victory over Mohammad Akmal in the playoff to claim third position.

Farrukh was home 85-45, 52-47, 57-54, 19-59, 64-2.

Four players — Abdul Sattar, Umair Alam, Farrukh Usman and wildcard Mohammad Yousuf — will represent Sindh in the National Snooker Championship next month.
