Sindh Open tennis from 30th

KARACHI, Jan 20 The second Sindh Open ranking tennis championship of the year gets into action at the Beach View Club from Jan 30, organisers announced on Tuesday.

The events that are to take place in the week long tourney are men's singles and doubles, ladies singles, juniors U-17 singles and doubles, girls U-17 singles, boys U-15, U-13, U-11 and U-9 singles.

Last date for submission of entries is 28. However, no entry fee will be charged from outstation players, coaches and ball boys, says the announcement.

The men's singles winner gets Rs10,000 while the runner up will receive Rs5,000 out of total prize money of Rs26,000. The semi-finalists take home Rs2500 apiece.

The ladies singles winner and runner up and juniors U-17 singles champion and losing finalist will earn Rs2,000 and Rs1,000 apiece.

Meanwhile, an Inter-school tennis tournament will be held at the same venue from Feb 3.
