SUKKUR: Young man shot dead

SUKKUR, Dec 4 A young man was killed over a matrimonial dispute in Rakhial Shar Ji Wandh village in the jurisdiction of Garhi Yasin police late on Wednesday night.

According to reports, Muhabat Shar, 25, was sleeping in his house when a group of armed persons broke into the house, shot him dead and fled.

The area police shifted the body to a local hospital for legal formalities, but no case has so far been registered. According to area people, the murder was the result of a matrimonial dispute between two groups of the Shar clan.

15 SUSPECTS HELD Lakhi Ghulam Shah police has arrested 15 suspects from Junejo Muhalla, on the night between Wednesday and Thursday, following looting of passenger buses and wagons at Sukkur-Shikarpur road near Lakhi.

According to reports, a group of armed dacoits blocked Sukkur-Shikarpur road, intercepted many passenger buses and wagons, robbed the passengers of cash, ornaments, mobile phones and other valuables and fled.

Following the incident, Lakhi Ghulam Shah police followed the footprints of the culprits, which led to Junejo Muhalla, where police carried out a search operation and arrested 15 suspects including, Ashraf Junejo, Mohammad Khan, Sajjan Khan, Qalb Ali and others.
